A song for hardworking Mums and Dads who stick around and put their family first. As parents, we can sometimes feel a bit deflated watching friends and family at different stages of life travel around and enjoy all the spoils of material success. This song is a reminder that real, lasting wealth and value lies in raising a strong, resilient & loving family. We’ll get around to all that stuff, when the time is right, but if it never happens for us, that’s okay too. Those things are only fleeting and “nice-to-have”. Whereas the love of a good family is essential and permanent.
Musically, some people say this reminds them of a cross between Jimmy Buffett’s “Come Monday” and George Harrison’s “My Sweet Lord”. Not a bad mix I must say!
